To uninstall your existing anti-virus product:

1. Go to Start, then click on Control Panel.
2. For Windows XP: click on Add/Remove Programs; for Windows Vista/7 click on Uninstall a Program if in Category View or Programs and Features if in Icon View.
3. Select the anti-virus product currently installed from the list. (i.e. Norton Internet Security, Norton 360, McAfee, TrendMicro PC-cillin, AVG, Avast!)
4. After uninstallation completes, restart the computer.

Many anti-virus providers also provide an uninstaller that can be downloaded from their website.
