The Categorize Course option lets you choose where your course appears in the Blackboard Course Catalog. You can list your course in more than one category.

Adding a Category to a Course

From Course Management in the lower left of your course site:

  1. Click Customization, then click Properties.
  2. On the Properties page, scroll down to the Categorize Course section.
  3. Choose an area from the Items to Select menu. You can choose more than one area at once.
  4. Click on the angle bracket button to move your highlighted selections to Selected Items. You can add as many categories as you like.
  5. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on the Submit button.
